Reaching Potential Clients
I’m Tom Romito, Facilitator. In this article, I explain a tool for using technology to boost your business.
Like me, you’re an entrepreneur and you want to grow your business. Let’s agree that one of the things we have to do is market ourselves to potential clients.
So, You Might Say, What’s Available to Help Us Do That?
Well, maybe you’ve hired a consultant who is teaching you how to brand yourself on your own website. Maybe she’s even created the website for you!
Now maybe this angel is showing you how to share your content on social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
And maybe you’re learning the value of other Internet accounts like Flickr, Scribd, SlideShare, SoundCloud, and Vimeo.
Finally, maybe you’re developing a strategic network list of potential clients from past, present, and future contacts.
So, You’re Thinking, What’s the Silver Bullet?
Well, we’ve got all this technology at our fingertips to help us convert our brainpower into wealth. We just need to adopt it to benefit us.
One way is to listen to a big mouth, like me - someone who’s been there, done that.
I’m not an expert yet, but I can share with you a tool I’ve learned at The School Of Hard Knocks. It’s how to create a knockout video, like this one!
Put on Your Best Face!
Now, If you’ve never been filmed live on camera, or spent much time in front of people, making a convincing case for yourself in person can be a long learning curve. So get ready to practice!
Here’s a six-step method for grabbing the attention of your audience on camera (Now, this presumes that your consultant, or someone else, knows how to use the video feature on the camera!)
Six steps to success:
First, introduce yourself.
Second, tell them you’re going to have a brief conversation with them.
Third, set up a problem you want them to know about.
Fourth, explain your solution to the problem.
Fifth, ask them to decide if this tool works for them. If it does, encourage them to try it out.
Six, sign off.
Going the Extra Mile Will Grow Your Business!
There it is! Now if your consultant can curate this video, or make it look good on the Internet, you’ve got a winning tool to reach your audience. If not, just research a way on the Internet to do it yourself. The key is to try it out!
Good luck and thanks for watching!
